Our classes are small. Ten places, one chef, one kitchen booked for the time slot, ingredients bought for the people who booked. When someone cancels late, the place usually stays empty and everything behind it has already been paid for. These terms are written to be fair to you and workable for us.

Booking & Cancellation Policy
-
Your place is confirmed when payment is received in full. Prices include all ingredients, equipment and materials used in the class.
You will receive a confirmation email with the date, start time, address and anything you need to bring. If it does not arrive within an hour, check your spam folder and then write to us.
-
14 or more days before the class Full refund, or move to another date at no charge. Your choice.
Less than 14 days before the class No refund and no date change. By this point the kitchen is booked and paid for, the chef is confirmed, and the ingredients are bought. You can still send someone else in your place at no charge, right up to the start of the class.
Not turning up No refund.
To cancel or change a booking, email info@ateliercuisine.net The date and time we receive your email is what counts. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days.
-
Always allowed, always free, no deadline. Just send us the new person's name before the class starts.
One thing to be aware of: the menu is already planned and the ingredients already bought. Whoever takes the place takes the menu as it stands. If they have a dietary requirement or an allergy, tell us as early as you can and we will say honestly what we can and cannot do on short notice.
-
Within the window above, you can move once at no charge. A second move is treated as a new booking.
If the class you want to move to costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, we refund the difference.
-
Classes start on time and the first steps matter. If you arrive more than 20 minutes after the start, we may not be able to bring you into the session, and no refund is due. Tell us if you are running late and we will do what we can.
-
Sometimes we have to. Illness, a problem with the kitchen, or too few bookings to run the class properly.
We need a minimum of six people for a class to go ahead. If we have not reached that number 10 days before, we will let you know and you can choose a full refund or a place on another date.
If we cancel for any other reason, at any notice, you get the same choice: full refund or another date. We do not cover travel, accommodation or other costs.
-
Gift cards can be used against any class and are valid until 31 December of the third year following the year of purchase. A card bought in 2026 is good until the end of 2029.
You have 14 days from purchase to change your mind and receive a full refund, provided the gift card has not been redeemed. After that, gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
If a gift card is worth more than the class booked, the balance stays on the card for use against a future booking. If it is worth less, you pay the difference. We do not pay out any part of a gift card in cash.
Gift cards are transferable. Whoever holds it can use it.
When a gift card is used to book a class, the cancellation terms above apply to that booking. A cancelled booking made with a gift card returns the value to the gift card rather than being refunded in cash.
-
Different terms apply, because we hold a whole date for you.
More than 21 days before: full refund, or move to another date at no charge.
14 to 21 days before: 50% refund, or move to another date at no charge.
Less than 14 days before: the full fee is payable.
The number of participants can be reduced up to 14 days before the event. After that, the fee is based on the number confirmed at that point.
-
Tell us when you book, or at the latest 14 days before the class. Ingredients are sourced ahead of time and the menu is planned around who is coming, so after that point we cannot promise to work around a new requirement.
We will accommodate what we can, and we will tell you honestly if a menu does not work around something.
Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, fish and shellfish. We cannot guarantee any dish is free from traces of these. If you have a severe allergy, write to us before booking so we can talk it through.
-
Participants must be 18 or over unless we have agreed otherwise in writing in advance.
-
We sometimes photograph or film classes for our website and social media. Tell the chef at the start of the session if you would prefer not to appear, and we will keep you out of shot. You can also ask us later to remove an image you are in.
-
You will be using sharp knives and hot equipment. Follow the chef's instructions. We can ask anyone to leave a class if their behaviour puts other participants at risk, and no refund is due in that case.
